Be at peace inside.
Why is that not always so easy? Or is it and I'm on the sometimes stuff inside of me is wrenching to let go train traveled by few... I'm going with the first assumption.

you sound troubled.
taking life seriously can be a painful ride. taking life as it comes -enjoying the enjoyable moments, relaxing when it's calm, and hitting life head-on when there's no other way- life is a blessing to us all. worrying about who to be or how to be just makes things more complicated. making mistakes asking questions... well how else do you learn. not everyone will always have your opinion. so what! as long as we are actively participating in life, it will alway be a worth enjoying. life happens.
internal soul searching is fine and all, but try not to miss out on your suroundings. if you know where you came from and where you are going... well, the rest will work itself out. enjoy what you've been given. be happy :)
love ya babe!
So, I'm going to keep this short but do you remember a few years ago when we went to Salt Lake for Kiely's concert and afterwards we ended up sitting in mall long afte rit closed discussing how to feel peace when things around you aren't great? I think about that often because it was the first time I really felt like that was possible for me. I didn't know how to make it happen but I felt like it was possible. So, really I don't know if I have any new and exciting thoughts about it but sometimes it is hard to feel that peace and I think that is normal. If we felt at peace all the time then we would never know how blessed we are. Sure I prefer the peaceful times but during the not so peaceful times I am really grateful to remember that things won't always be that way. If I just have faith and do what I can and remember that I don't always have to do it alone the peace comes back, or at least the memory of the peace and soon enough the peace is there again. Do you remember that quote from conference. I think President Monson was quoting someone else and maybe it shows my unintelligence for not knowing but I do remember the quote. It was: "God gave us memories that we may have June roses in the December of our lives." I don't really know what I'm saying, but those are the things that make me feel better in the times when peace is hard to find. I know it is there and we are loved too much for it not to be. You don't have to publish this Josh, I just wanted to share my thoughts. You've always shown me that it is possible to be positive even when you have been struggling and I admire that. You have that light that so many people are in search of. Really, I'm going now. Sorry I didn't really keep it short.
Agree with #1 (and #2).
to that I will add: sometimes when you have an overactive conscience, it is hard to be at peace.
Sometimes when you have things you're worried about losing, it is hard to be at peace.
Sometimes when you're really worried about what others think, or worried that you'll offend them, maybe, or just really really want someone to like you, it's hard to be at peace.
#3 is the one I fall for the most. I think the only real way to over come #s 1-3 is to accept the comfort of the Person who knows us best and wants us to be happy.
By the way, congrats.
:)
Just make sure that someone is named Carolee.
(tee hee).
Thou shalt write another post.
And post some pictures.
I agree with nosurfgirl. Especially on the picture part - you know, the picture of you and that one girl. ;)
